About
Dr. Eun Suk Suh is a professor and current Department Chair of the Graduate School of Engineering Practice at Seoul National University, Korea. He completed his Ph.D. in Engineering Systems from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, M.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University. His research interests include systems engineering, system architecture design, modular system design, and model-based technology roadmap design.
Prior to his tenure at Seoul National University, he was a research scientist at Xerox Corporation from 2005 to 2012, specializing in system architecture design, system cost analysis, and supply chain system analysis. He also held a design engineer position at Hyundai Motor Company from 1995 to 2001, specializing in commercial vehicle chassis (suspension) design and development.
He has several peer reviewed journal publications in his research area and has numerous international patents for printing systems and automotive systems. He is currently serving as associate editor for International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Systems Engineering Journal and American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) Journal of Mechanical Design.
He was elected as an INCOSE Fellow in 2023 for his contribution to system architecture design research and practice across academia and industry.
